March 20th release concert in the Studio de l’Ermitage in Paris 🔥
I’m grateful to everyone who participated in it. I’ve been working on getting a Paris based band since I moved here 9 years ago and I’m so lucky to have these guys and girl in my band. It’s a privilege and great enjoyment to play and record with Ludivine, Olivier, Manu and Yoni!🙏
In the past year the band had included Magic Malik and a few times Christophe, with whom I’ve been playing in a couple of bands from the beginning of my Paris adventure. Both him being a musician that I love and admire and him knowing my music were the perfect conditions to have him produce the album (kind of like an artistic director). P.S. – I he’s releasing an album of his own these days so keep an ear-eye out for it!
I got to make this album in some of the best conditions, we recorded in Studio De Meudon (in Meudon, of course) with Julien Bassères and to mix it with Mathieu Pion in his studio in Orlèans and master it with PE Meriaud. These guys are no.1, the best. 💪
Thank you Sylvain Gripoix – Photographe for finding a perfect visual identity for the album, truly a grandmaster of this task!
The album is out on Rue Des Balkans which is a label I founded recently and distributed on L’Autre Distribution. (Thank you Luc for believing in the album and Roman for the great work!). Agnès Thomas for the PR of the album! 💪
Thank to Catherine for supporting me and putting up with me dedicating so much time to music, it’s not easy being a musician’s partner. And thanks to Joël Veiga and Yucca Rousset for being great buddies and for supporting my ventures. Thanks, as always, to my dad Vojislav Ivanovic for the inspiration and transmitting the love for music. If you listen very closely you can hear an hommage to his composing in one of the tracks. And thanks to my mother Fahira Zvizdic for being a rock for me to hold on to.
Finally, thanks to the SCPP and Adami for helping fund the album and to the Ville de Paris for helping realise the release concert.

A new track is released today from the upcoming album Modular!

Featuring two flute players Magic Malik and LUDIVINE ISSAMBOURG who here plays the bass flute, It’s called Résistance and (pardon the info for music geeks) it’s a truly modular composition where any part can be played after any other part or at the same time and still make sense! And the long odd meter (can you find it?) can be played in several ways. But that kind of talk is more fitting for a class so I will stop.
Allegedly Mozart said that if there is something more boring than a flute, it’s two flutes) but I obviously would disagree.
Besides flute, you will hear Manu Codjia on guitar, who plays a great solo here and Olivier Laisney on trumpet and Yoni Zelnik on bass, a dream team.
The album is coming out on 02.02.2024 and I’ll be opening a pre-sale on Bandcamp for the CD next week. If you are in Paris, the concert for the album release is on March 20th at the Studio de l’Ermitage.
Happy 2024 with more peace and love and music, we need it.

Since the album release concert for Blazin’ Quartet’s new album Sleeping Beauty was cancelled, we’ll be ensuring the highest quality audio and live 5 camera video coverage in the amazing space of the Studio de l’Ermitage in Paris and bring the music into your living room, bedroom or wherever you choose to watch. 

Introducing an all-new line-up with album guest Magic Malik on flute, Olivier Laisney on trumpet, Manu Codjia on guitar, Yoni Zelnik on bass, Srdjan Ivanovic on drums, and an especially special guest, the artist-formerly-playing-with-Blazin’-Quartet – Christophe Panzani on the tenor sax.

After the show we’ll have a chat-at-the-bar, like at a real concert and you can ask questions through comments, about the new album, the concert, Srdjan’s new electronic box, or life in general.

March 26th, 9 PM in Paris (GMT-1), 3PM in New York, 5AM in Tokyo, streaming direct and available for 7 days.

We just finished recording a new album with the Undectet, co-led by master arranger, pianist and guitarist Vladimir Nikolov and myself. The team was amazing, 11 people dedicated towards bringing this music to life on tape. (well not tape, just bits and bytes I guess but that does not sound that nice …)
Very happy about the result so far, a lot of work stil left ahead, I’ll keep you posted!
